Putting Lag

THE SESSION PUTTING lag IS SIMPLY A CHALLENGE TO TEST THE PLAYER’S ABILITY TO putt FROM longer DISTANCES into a scoring zone.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS SESSION

All required to build this station are approximately 40 Tees or ball markers (coins) and a meter stick.

BUILDING STATION

Search for a suitable hole on the putting green, the only recommendations here is that the hole does not have too much undulation (break). From the hole measure, 12m place a tee, 18 meters place a tee and 24 meters.

Scoring zone consists of 2 circles around the hole, the first circle with a radius of 1 meter and the second with a 2-meter radius. The approximate distance from each tee for the first circle is 37.7 and for the second circle 50.2. Ensure tees are pushed into the ground to prevent the ball from being affected.

SCORING ZONE

The player starts at the first position (12M) and plays one putt, then moves to the next position (18m) plays one putt and then moves to the final position (24m). This process is continued till all 10 balls have been played.

Simply the player only receive points when the ball goes into the hole or remains in the scoring zone,

Holed Ball 4 points

First circle 2 Points

Second Circle 1 Point

The player is not allowed to retake any shots, a second person should clear the scoring zone of balls to ensure no balls are affected by previously played balls.

SCORING ADVANTAGE

Every golfer has the ability to perform from this distance, the lower handicappers will be more practised, but this is a chance for the higher handicappers.

TIPS & TRICKS
